By using the Chiaro System platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create a Chiaro System account, we collect:

Email address
Username
Password (stored securely and never in plain text)

Customer & Contact Information

As part of providing the Chiaro System platform, you may collect information about your own customers and contacts through the tools we provide. This data is stored on your behalf and may include:

First and last name
Email address
Phone number (if provided)
Mailing or billing address

You are responsible for ensuring that your collection and use of your customers' data complies with applicable laws and your own privacy obligations to them.

Payment Information

Chiaro System uses Stripe to process payments. We do not directly collect or store credit card numbers or other sensitive payment details. Stripe may collect and store payment information in accordance with their own privacy policy. We do store a Stripe customer identifier associated with your account in order to manage billing and subscriptions.

Third-Party Integrations

Chiaro System supports optional integrations with third-party services. When you connect an integration, we store the credentials necessary to provide that service on your behalf. These credentials are never shared with other users or third parties beyond what is required to operate the integration.

Google Calendar

If you connect your Google account, we store an OAuth refresh token to enable calendar-based booking scheduling. This grants us the ability to create and manage calendar events on your behalf. You can disconnect this integration at any time from your account settings.

Zoom

If you connect your Zoom account, we store an OAuth refresh token to enable automatic meeting creation when bookings are made. You can disconnect this integration at any time from your account settings.

Stripe

Stripe is used for payment processing. When customers make purchases or make paid bookings through your Chiaro System-powered website, their payment data is handled directly by Stripe. Please refer to Stripe's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment information.

Cookies & Session Tracking

Chiaro System uses cookies to maintain your authenticated session. These cookies are necessary for the platform to function and do not contain personally identifiable information beyond a session reference.

We also collect anonymized session and usage data from websites built on the Chiaro System platform. This may include page views, referral sources, device type, and general location derived from IP address. This data is used to provide website analytics to account holders and to improve the platform.

You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, though this may affect your ability to use certain features of the platform.

Analytics

Chiaro System uses Google Analytics to collect information about how users interact with the platform. Google Analytics may collect data such as pages visited, time spent on the platform, device and browser type, and approximate geographic location. This data is aggregated and anonymized. You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes.

Customer and contact data you have collected through the platform is retained until you delete it or close your account.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the platform (e.g., Stripe for payments, Google for calendar and analytics, Zoom for meetings) receive only the data necessary to perform their services.

Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Passwords are never stored in plain text. OAuth tokens are stored securely and scoped to the minimum access required. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
